Ray Edwards is a copywriter, principally for internet marketing. That means he writes the words and scripts that motivate people to buy products and services marketed on the internet. Ray has a reputation for writing successful product launches.
In Writing Riches, Ray shares the details about how he creates successful emails and web pages.
90% of the material is the same as you would find in other books about direct marketing copywriting: how to write a good headline, using subheads to lead through the material, writing bullet points, and making a call to action or closing the sale. This material is competently presented.
Ray also weaves in elements particular to internet marketing, such as incorporating video and audio into your web page or email, response invitations salted throughout a message, "squeeze pages," online split testing, creating sequenced follow ups, and upsells.
Many of the examples included in the book are of "movers and shakers" in the internet marketing industry, such as Alex Mendossian, Jeff Walker and Mike Filsame.
Since every business owner should be doing marketing on the internet and needs to at least recognize when marketing copy is properly written, every business owner should own and study this book.
